MITCHELL D. RECHLER
MANAGING PARTNER

In a career spanning more than twenty-five years, Mitchell D. Rechler has directed the management, acquisition, development and disposition of over 25 million square feet of commercial space throughout the New York Tri-State region. Mitchell is co-managing partner of Rechler Equity Partners and a partner of R Squared Real Estate Partners LLC.

With his cousin, Gregg Rechler, Mitchell manages the day-to-day operations for Rechler Equity Partners and is responsible for financing, marketing and leasing strategies, as well as managing tenant relations for the company throughout its seven million square foot portfolio.

In addition to his efforts on behalf of Rechler Equity, by utilizing his planning, capital markets and development expertise, Mitchell, with Gregg, has helped grow R Squared Real Estate Partners. Since its inception in 2001, the firm has invested in retail, residential, storage, commercial loft, hotel and industrial properties throughout the New York Metropolitan area and manages over seven million square feet of properties, including $1 billion of development and redevelopment projects currently under way.

Mitchell is a former President of the Association for a Better Long Island, a developer's lobby which represents 25 of Long Island’s largest real estate developers who collectively have invested over fifteen billion dollars in the Nassau/Suffolk region.

Beyond his professional commitments, Mitchell is deeply involved in many philanthropic activities. He is a board member of the Children’s Medical Fund of New York, which helps support Cohen Children’s Hospital of the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System; he is the former President of the Long Island Friends of the Arts; he is a board member of the Long Island Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America; and a member of the Board of Trustees for the Village of Brookville.

Rechler graduated from Emory University and resides in East Quogue, Long Island with his wife Debbie and their two children.
